Edges lightly rubbed and frayed, else an excellent copy.
A standard reference work on Dickens, first published in America in 1872. The introduction to this Daily News Memorial Edition is by Charles Dickens, Jr., who made several emendations from the American edition. "I may, perhaps, lie permitted to express a very favourable opinion of the singularly painstaking and careful manner, in which Mr. Pierce and Mr. Wheeler have carried out what has clearly been to them a labour of love." –Charles Dickens, Jr., January 1878.
