Limited first edition. 8vo. Pp. 74, [2]. Watercolour Illustrations by Eileen Hogan. Signed by the author and the illustrator on the colophon page. Quarter-bound in black morocco over blue and white patterned paper boards with inset paper label to front, titles stamped in silver to spine; sage-green endpapers.
Number 138 of 150 special signed and numbered copies (from a total edition of 250) with an extra original print initialled by the artist loosely inserted in the pocket at rear. The first 50 copies (labelled de luxe) were bound in quarter leather with two extra prints, while the last 50 (standard) copies were quarter-bound in cloth. Designed and typeset by Libanus Press of Marlborough. Printed on Zerkall paper by Smith Settle of Otley and bound by The Fine Bindery.
Three stories set in Japan, written by the author some two decades prior to publication. Awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Literature.
