Featured poets include: Dionysios Solomos, Costis Palamas, Constantine Cavafis, Anghelos Sikelianos, and George Seferis. Subsequently, as a double act with Edmund Keeley, their close collaborations introducing Modern Greek poetry to English-speaking readers helped pave the way for the Nobel prizes awarded to both George Seferis (1963) and Odysseus Elytis (1979).
