First edition. 8vo. Pp. [vi (blank)], 636, [4 (blank)]. Publisher's laminated pictorial boards, with matching dust-jacket illustrated by Giles Greenfield, priced at £14.99 to front flap. Text copyright by J. K. Rowling and 'First Edition' stated to verso of title page. With the key first printing errors: p. 503 "Dumbledore, come!" is spoken by Crouch (this was later corrected to Fudge); p. 579 Harry's father appears out of Voldemort's wand before his mother Lily (their order was later reversed), and on p. 594 reads "The Imperius Curse, Moody said," – this was later changed to "Crouch said".
This is the rarer Omnia edition printed in Glasgow, comprising 10% to about a third of the total print run. The bulk was printed by Clays Ltd., St. Ives. Released at midnight on 8 July 2000 in an edition of 750,000 copies. Signed for us aboard the Hogwarts Express at Manchester Piccadilly Station on Sunday 9th July 2000. As new.
