Rücken der Schutzumschläge etwas gebräunt, sonst aber frisches, sehr schönes Exemplar der Erstausgabe.

Hesse won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1946, and it was this complex, futuristic utopia, over which he laboured for more than a decade, which the Nobel Committee cited in making the award.
