A play in two acts and an epilogue focusing on three women drawn together for a birthday, all of whom must confront the paths their lives have taken. Commissioned and directed by Max Stafford-Clark for his Out of Joint Theatre Company as a 'companion piece' to Chekhov's Three Sisters, which it mirrors. With songs by Jeremy Sams. First performed at the Leicester Haymarket on 26 October 1995, the production moved to the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs on 22 November 1995.
