Double-sided proof of a couple of Elizabeth Berg's novels with the aim of introducing her to UK readers. True to Form was originally published in the United States by Atria Books in 2002. The third in a series of books featuring Katie Nash, a now 13-year-old Army brat, in early 1960s Missouri who longs to be with the in-crowd but is instead shunned by her peers.
A 'testimonial to the power and joy of female friendship,' Talk Before Sleep was first published in America by Dell Publishing in 1994, and concerns two unlikely best friends, one of whom succumbs to cancer. Inspired by the book, Oprah devoted a show to breast cancer, with one segment showing her getting a mammogram.
Additionally the proof includes a couple of the opening chapters of Range of Motion, a novel from the 'point of view' of a coma patient. Berg often took care of such sufferers in her previous life as a nurse, when she would feel the patient's 'strong presence'.
Publisher's bumph laid in.
"Funny, touching and full of dry wit and throwaway lines, Elizabeth Berg has a quite unique voice. I hope the UK reading public will take a chance and discover this fine writer." –Publishing News
